About Us

CT Languages was established in 2012, providing one-to-one tuition in many languages at all levels from pre-school through to adult languages.  During the past few years, students have made excellent achievements, gaining exceptionally high grades in GCSE, IGCSE and A-level exams.

As a tutor, all lessons are tailored to the individual needs of the student , with extra teacher support in -between lessons, whether that is asking for a word translation or a chat to help any problems.  I know that every learner is unique and has their own way of learning. You can be certain that you will receive 100% support.

Lessons are available face-to-face or via Skype of Face-time, providing 30 minute or 1 hour lessons.

We now also offer short translations, transcription and proof-reading, which over the years are becoming increasingly popular with my clients.  In addition to this, if students wish to work together on a translation, this is also possible, so you can see how it has been put together.

Welcome to CT Languages.
I am Caroline, a fully qualified and experienced languages teacher in the Wakefield area.
I have been a teacher for 18 years now and I have met many wonderful and talented students.

I have always enjoyed learning languages, starting with French and German at school.  I took my degree in languages, specialising in French at the University of Hull. I was lucky enough to start learn Spanish, Italian, Japanese and also advance in my German.  After spending a year in the Dordogne in the South-West of France, as a language assistant, I decided that teaching was the career I wanted to do!  I took my PGCE at the University of York, also training at schools in Richmond, North Yorkshire and Scarborough.

I worked at a 'Specialist Language College for 8 years, teaching GCSE, Key Stages 2 and 3 and Vocational languages.  During that time, I was head of Vocational languages and ran many trips to both France and Germany.  It was a fun time and very rewarding.

I am now a full-time languages tutor for CT Languages, carrying out one-to-one tuition both face to face and online.   I also teach for a distant learning school for students all over the world and I am a Corporate Languages Trainer for a French company .   I am also a Mum to my two wonderful children who are interested in languages too!  As a tutor I pride myself with the techniques used in lessons and my students know that I am always there to answer any questions.

All my students make me proud and whatever level they start at, they know that they will reach their targets because everyone I teach is amazing.
